PERMAGARD 200
EPOXY KOTE

 

DESCRIPTION

PermaGard 200 is a high solids/low V.O.C. epoxy coating. It is a self-priming high build coating that combines excellent wetting, penetration, and adhesion along with maximum abrasion resistance. Ease of application using either conventional or airless spray equipment separates this product from other products used in heavy duty offshore splash zone applications. It is typically applied in two coats as a primer and finish coat. And, it is available in high temperature versions (PermaGard 200 HT) for applications where ambient and surface temperatures typically exceed 90oF (32oC).

* Under cooler conditions PermaGard 200 HT may be thinned as needed to achieve desired spray characteristics.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

PermaGard 200 was originally designed as a premium coating for immersion service and structural steel in an offshore environment. Throughout the years, it has been tested and proven unique and effective splash zone coating. Product applications include:

1. Boat bumpers and landings
2. Platform jacket sections
3. Jack-up legs and mats
4. Drilling rig hulls
5. Drill casings, risers, sumps, etc.
6. Other splash zone applications

SERVICE CONDITIONS

PermaGard 200 will withstand continuous dry heat of 180oF (82oC) and intermittent dry heat to 250oF (121oC). The color may change as these limits are approached, but the film will remain intact. For immersion in fresh or salt water, the continuous temperatures should not exceed 150oF (66oC). Do not use for potable water. For further information, see application/service limitations. PermaGard 200 exhibits broad resistance to aggressive chemicals and severe marine environments.

ULTRAGARD 201
ALL SEASON EPOXY

 

DESCRIPTION

UltraGard 201 is an all season epoxy with uncommonly high resin content for use in hot and cold temperature extremes. This two component, low V.O.C. self-riming epoxy coating exhibits excellent film build, penetration and adhesion to rusted metal, aged galvanizing, most existing paint systems and damp (not ripping) surfaces. It is suitable for use as a primer, intermediate, and finish coat or protection in fresh or salt water immersion.

FIELD OF APPLICATION

UltraGard 201 is ideal for use as a primer, intermediate, and finish coat in heavy duty industrial or marine environments when coating operations must take place all year round. It is particularly useful for application to metal where surface preparation is limited to hand tool or power tool cleaning.

SERVICE CONDITION

UltraGard 201 will withstand continuous dry heat of 250oF (121oC) and intermittent dry heat to 300oF (149oC). The color may change as these limits are approached, but the film will remain intact. For immersion in fresh or salt water, the continuous temperatures should not exceed 125oF (52oC). Do not use for potable water. UltraGard 201 exhibits broad resistance to aggressive chemicals and severe marine environments. It is not recommended for exposure to strong acids, vigorous oxidizing solutions or immersion service in acids, alkalies or solvents.

UltraGard 202 is a rust-inhibitive modified aluminum epoxy mastic for year round application. This premium quality, V.O.C. compliant, self-priming epoxy coating exhibits excellent penetration and adhesion to rusted surfaces, aged galvanized steel, and most existing paint systems. Suitable for use as a primer or intermediate coat, it provides ultimate protection under most adverse application conditions.

UltraGard 207 is a fast dry all season epoxy coating formulated to allow for multiple coats to be applied in the same day. A premium high solids/ low VOC epoxy, it is suitable as a primer, intermediate, or finish coat, if desired. PERMAGARD 211
PATCHING COMPOUND

DESCRIPTION

PermaGard 211 Patching Compound is a 100% solids epoxy putty for patching holes, gouges, or other surface imperfections prior to painting. PG 211 is also formulated to be applied and cure underwater in both fresh and salt water.

Wormholes, weld seams, other surface irregularities on waterlines, underwater,  piping pilings, etc.

A high solids/low V.O.C. epoxy that cures to a tough and abrasion resistant film. It has excellent adhesion, recoating, and top coating properties. PermaGard 213 has been optimized for dry film in the range of 5.0 - 7.0 mils per coat.

UltraGard 205 Saf-T-Grip Deck Kote is a premium quality 100% solids, rust inhibitive, non-skid epoxy coating for light to heavy duty service on steel, aluminum, concrete and other rigid surfaces. It has a high build epoxy coating that has excellent adhesion to properly prepared surfaces and has extreme impact and abrasion resistant properties.
